Many home heating & cooling systems are not running at their peak because of years of improper maintenance and poor ventilation systems

You Change the Oil on Your Car Don't You???

WeatherMasters can increase performance of your system to ensure it run less, last longer and
SAVES YOU MONEY !

Heating and Cooling Equipment

Incorrect gas pressure can cause a furnace to burn too hot which can use more fuel than necessary and it also deteriorates the heat exchanger at a much faster reducing the life of the equipment

Incorrect gas pressure if too low can cause the equipment to run longer to make heat costing more and reducing the life of the equipment

Heat pumps and air conditioners that aren't charged correctly run out of balance and need to be checked and the units cleaned every season.

This should be done at the beginning of every summer before the system is called up to cool your home and the reason it needs to be checked during that period is so that the outdoor temperatures are conducive to achieving accurate pressure readings that are more accurately accessed in warm temperatures

Proper cleaning and Tuning can add
years to the life of your equipment and
lower the amount of energy it uses

Air Ducts

Having an unbalanced system effects the equipments ability to cycle properly and it can over stress the equipment, increase maintenance cost and reduce the life span you should be able to have before replacement is needed

Duct systems that have not been sealed properly can allow air to escape into unconditioned parts of the home like attics and crawlspaces which will affect pressure boundaries that need to be separated.

Duct work that is leaking or uninsulated where it needs to be allows air to escape instead of being delivered throughout the home which causes the equipment to run longer to get the home up to the desired temperature.

This is a typical situation we see  where duct separation goes unnoticed                                       Properly secured and sealed ducts eliminates any chance of leakage

In the case of older systems with gravity venting to expel flue gases, an unbalanced system can create negative pressure causing back drafting which pulls the fumes to escape back into the home which leads to carbon monoxide poising

Duct work can get filled with years
of dust & debris restricting air flow

Contaminated / dirty ducts inhibit positive air flow which can cause the hot air to stay in the furnace longer than it is designed for and again reduce the life of the equipment.  Contaminated ducts also affect indoor air quality. Dirt build up in duct systems is like never changing the air filter on your automobile.

      Air quality is compromised !

After you change your furnace filter which should be about every 30 days ( when your bill comes in ) If your duct system is filled with dust and dirt it, your air filter won't be able to keep the air cleansed that runs through the system. It also spreads these allergens and other contaminates more freely

Ventilation

An important thing to do with any home is to make sure that dryers and exhaust fans ventilation is properly installed and  and insulated where it runs through crawlspaces and attics

Uninsulated venting introduces a different temperature into these spaces during summer and winter especially and this causes condensation to form on the pipes, drip down and soak into building materials. This affect is a major cause of mold and mildew taking root in these unseen areas

Exhaust fans to kitchen ranges and bathrooms that are not vented to the outdoor
send moisture and steam into attic and crawlspaces collecting in areas and starting mold growth

What causes clothes dryer fires?

Poor vent configuration constricting air flow cause dryers to overheat

Lint Build up from years of operating without maintenance or cleaning

Exterior dampers don't operate correctly prohibiting lint and air from escaping
